Audiometrist Refresher Course

PURPOSE

The audiometrist refresher course is intended for persons who are responsible for conducting audiometric screening tests in an occupational setting. As a practicing audiometrist, it is imperative to stay up to date with changes in legislation and standards. Therefore, it is recommended that all audiometrists attend a refresher course every two years.

The refresher course is a summary of the audiometrist course, which was developed based on the SAQA unit standard 252126. Upon completing the audiometrist refresher course, the student will have updated skills and knowledge in the field of occupational audiometry and will be informed of the current relevant legislation and standards.
