Occupational Vision Screening Refresher Course

Training is available as a online training format or onsite in-person training.

Online training consist out of an 8-hour facilitator-led  session.

Onsite training consists out of online pre-reading theory and a one-day onsite, in-person training in Queenswood, Pretoria.

Online training:

Last registration for the course is 1 week before the commencement of the workshop.

Onsite in-person training:

Last registration for the course is 3 weeks before the commencement of the workshop.

Vision Screening Practitioner:

• Certificate of Competence in Occupational Vision Screening
• Certified as an Occupational Vision Screening Practitioner

Vision Screening Assistant:

• Certificate of Competence in Occupational Vision Screening
• Certified as an Occupational Vision Screening Assistant

• Perform vision screening equipment quality assurance and quality control tasks
• Prepare for and conduct a vision test
• Evaluate the validity of the vision test results
• Interpret the vision screening test results
• Record and report the vision screening test results
• Manage the vision screening results

Upon successful completion of the course, delegates as a Vision Screening Assistant will be able to:
 

• Perform vision screening equipment quality assurance and quality control tasks
• Prepare for and conduct a vision test
• Evaluate the validity of the vision test results

On successful completion, participants receive a Certificate of Attendance. 

This course is intended for health professionals whom already completed a formal occupational vision screening course and is certified as an a Vision Screener Practitioner or an Assistant Vision Screener.
